What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator for Philadelphia Mutual Liability and Casualty Insurance Company, looks into the death of entomologist Dr. Eustace Pennybank. The doctor, who insured his life for $50,000, claimed someone had been trying to get into his home and laboratory to steal his records. Johnny finds the doctor shot dead in his house, which is filled with live insects, and he begins examining the doctor's niece, Clara Benson, and the circumstances around the case. The episode is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on April 16, 1961, starring Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
