What happens
Johnny Dollar investigates a suspicious insurance claim on a $50,000 policy issued to James Lansing two years ago. When Lansing dies, Dollar discovers discrepancies in the medical examination and questions whether the man who took out the policy is actually the same man now in the morgue. As Dollar digs deeper, he uncovers a mysterious picture of Lansing's life: a solitary drinker with no job who somehow had enough money to pay rent, buy expensive liquor, and secure substantial insurance coverage.
A city with a Valley National Building, an apartment house, a coroner's office, and Dr. Mayhood's medical office. The investigation takes place two years after Lansing's insurance examination.

Listen for: The growing suspicion that someone may have deliberately set up Lansing's death as an insurance fraud scheme, and the revelation that Lansing was a chronic alcoholic with mysterious financial support.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
