What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator for the Universal Adjustment Bureau, looks into the disappearance of Thomas Mayfield Thomas, a retiree from Chicago who vanished on Lake Mead while fishing with an acquaintance, Charlie Wentworth. Roscoe Trimmer, the local insurance agent, has doubts about the official account of a sudden windstorm. Johnny checks Wentworth's background, which includes a past in Chicago's gambling underworld, and then speaks with Hobb Fulton, the fishing guide who took the two men out. Johnny begins searching the lake's deep water, and the story is told in the series' usual first-person narration. The series is Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on March 22, 1959, with Bob Bailey as the lead.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
