What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, travels to the small Massachusetts town of East Northwelden after the accidental-seeming death of Andrew Parkinson. Jimmy Carter, a young newspaper seller who helped Dollar on an earlier case, has telephoned Dollar with a claim of murder, but when Dollar arrives the boy has vanished. Dollar questions Jimmy's mother, the local insurance representative and the coroner, and begins to suspect that the death was not an accident. He searches for Jimmy and follows a trail of clues through the town. The story is part of the long-running radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
