What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar follows a mysterious phone call from a man named Fred Acryloid, who claims to know about a killing but will not name the culprit. Tracing the caller to Vineland, New Jersey, Johnny learns that Philip Bernerskoney, a retired man with a mysterious fortune, has been murdered, and that the chief of police is the beneficiary of his insurance policy. At the house on East Elmer Street, Johnny meets a tall, sharp-dressed young man and finds himself in a tense confrontation. The story is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar radio series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on March 19, 1961, with Bob Bailey in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
