What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is on the case of Mike Flynn, a down-and-out man insured for $50,000 whose life keeps narrowly escaping attempts on it—first a knifing, then a shooting, and now a truck accident. Dollar suspects that Jay Wesley Cosgrave, a former racketeer operating under a veneer of respectability, orchestrated the attempts through hired thugs from a flophouse he controls. As Dollar pieces together the connection between Cosgrave's past and a mission building with a shadowy history, he's about to uncover the identity of those doing Cosgrave's dirty work.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
