What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is called to Lake City, New Jersey, where townspeople report a ghost haunting the old McAndrew house, a supposed spirit of the late Ian McAndrews. Johnny is joined by Nancy Turner, an old acquaintance interested in the supernatural, and is met by local businessmen Oscar Tremblay, Charlie Reed and Tony Gray. The men keep Johnny on a tight schedule and steer his investigation, and at midnight he and Nancy witness strange wailing, flickering lights and banging shutters around the house. Johnny sets out to examine the old house and the town in daylight, and he begins to suspect that the help he is given is shaping what he sees. The series is Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on May 18, 1958, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
