What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is called to investigate a death claim when a man named George Farmer burns to death at a vacation retreat, with his wife entitled to $100,000 in double indemnity. When Dollar arrives in New York to look into the matter, the doctor who examined Farmer for his policy suddenly dies by jumping from a building, and the insurance salesman who sold the policy is killed in a hit-and-run accident—leaving Dollar to uncover the connection between these deaths.
New York City and surrounding areas, including the Equitable Building, a hospital, and Mrs. Farmer's apartment; the story begins with a call about a fire at a vacation resort called the Sportsmen's Retreat in the Catskills.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
