What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, is sent by Pat McCracken to Mexico to guard a valuable jewel collection being carried by Randolph Berman aboard his yacht, the Ellen Dear. The policy is issued through Western Maritime and Property Insurance Company in Los Angeles, and Berman is known to have a questionable reputation despite handling priceless gems. Johnny learns that a diamond from the collection may have been sold privately, and that the yacht has sunk in the outer channel with the collection supposedly lost aboard. Berman and his wife are picked up unharmed, and Johnny becomes suspicious of the insurance claim. This episode is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar series, broadcast on CBS Radio on January 6, 1957, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
