What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar travels to British Malaya to investigate the disappearance of Edward French, a plantation manager whose car vanished while he was on a business trip to Singapore. Constable Whitlow's mysterious death by ambush and the recovery of a torn piece of French's clothing suggest the case may be more complicated than a simple bandit attack.
British Malaya, including Singapore, the city of Raub, and an isolated plantation estate during a period of bandit activity and emergency martial conditions.
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Mrs. French, Constable Whitlow, Constable Downs, Mr. Leaps, Keith Stewart
Listen for: The mounting tension as Johnny discovers that Mrs. French and neighboring estate manager Keith Stewart share a suspicious connection, and hints that Edward French's disappearance may not be what it seems.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
