What happens
Johnny Dollar is called to San Diego by Phil East of the insurance company to investigate a series of seven burglaries at the apartment of Charles and Trudy Warner over the past two months. The unusual aspect is that nothing has ever been stolen, yet someone keeps breaking in and searching through the place. Johnny arrives and meets Trudy Warner, who is frustrated by her husband's refusal to call the police and worried about what might happen if she's home alone when a burglar breaks in.
San Diego, California; the Warner's apartment cottage near a hotel
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Phil East, Charles Hastings Warner, Trudy Warner
Listen for: Trudy Warner's account of the mysterious break-ins and her concern about the intruders' real purpose, given that nothing is being stolen despite the repeated searches through their belongings.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
