Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar arrives in Chicago to probe the murder of Frank Harvey, a claims adjuster shot three times and found in the snow on Mannheim Road. A classified ad for Harvey's Cadillac convertible leads police to suspect the killer posed as a prospective buyer, but a woman's compact found in the recovered car suggests a woman may be involved in the case.
Chicago during a winter blizzard; police station, garage, Mannheim Road, beer and hamburger joint
Characters: Johnny Dollar, Ted Albright, Frank Harvey, Lieutenant (Police), Detective Sergeant, Mechanic
Listen for: Johnny Dollar receives a mysterious phone call with information about the case just as he's questioning Ted Albright about Frank Harvey's personal life and connections.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
