What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, looks into a robbery at the Emporium department store in Buffalo, New York, in which over $400,000 was taken from the store's vault. The vault clerk, John Harker, was knocked unconscious during the crime, and the store's owner, Mr. McNair, insists on the company's long-standing cash routine. Dollar begins to suspect that the robbery was not what it seemed, and his questions turn toward the people closest to the vault. This is an episode of the CBS Radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, first broadcast on October 4, 1959, starring Bob Bailey, with Edmond O'Brien, John Lund and Charles Russell also in the lead cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
