What happens
Jack Benny and his company set out from Oakland, California, for a winter vacation at Yosemite after a charity performance for the March of Dimes. The cast, including Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and Don Wilson, bicker over the previous night's show while Benny insists everyone meet at a sporting goods store early the next morning. The group shops for cold-weather gear, and Benny buys skis despite the clerk's warnings. Friction builds between Benny and Harris over who will drive, and the trip grows more troubled on the road. This is the first part of a two-part story from the Jell-O program, originally broadcast on February 4, 1940, on NBC and CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
