What happens

Jack Benny hosts an episode of his Jell-O program with Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Kenny Baker, Eddie Anderson and Don Wilson, first broadcast on October 9, 1938. After some banter about the previous week's reviews and Kenny's valet Higgins, the cast performs a parody of the film Yellow Jack. Benny plays Dr. Benny of the US Medical Corps in Cuba, who is searching for the cause of yellow fever with his nurse, Miss Blake, played by Mary Livingstone. A visiting specialist claims the disease is carried by mosquitoes, and the men must find a volunteer willing to be bitten.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
