What happens
Jack Benny spends a spring day with his cast, including Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day, Phil Harris and Rochester, as they prepare to go to the circus. Along the way, Mary receives a letter from her mother, Rochester returns from shopping with an unusual haul, and Dennis arrives early and gets mixed up about the time. A visit from the Internal Revenue Service agents, Mr. Collins and Herbert Thompson, questions Jack's tax return and his deductions. Finally the group heads to the circus, where they wander the sideshows and midway. The Jack Benny Program was broadcast on NBC and CBS Radio on April 22, 1951, starring Jack Benny with Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson, and Phil Harris.
Jack Benny's house in Beverly Hills, California, and later a circus in the spring.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
