What happens
Jack Benny sets out to take his song to a music publisher in Hollywood, accompanied by Mary Livingstone. Before he can leave, a series of visitors and interruptions delays him, including Don Wilson and the Sportsmen Quartet, and Phil Harris, who mentions his stomach trouble. Benny is convinced the song will be a hit and insists on keeping his appointment. At the publisher's office he hopes to meet the music executive Mr. Kern, and the episode follows his mounting confusion as the building's offices and their occupants keep getting in the way. The 1951 broadcast is part of the long-running Jack Benny series, with Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
