What happens

Jack Benny takes his cast to Billy Gray's Band Box nightclub to hear the Sportsmen Quartet, who sing a number dedicated to him. Dennis Day and Mary Livingstone come along, and Phil Harris and Rochester are part of the group. Before the night out, the cast clowns around the studio, and Benny frets over spending money. At the club, the group runs into trouble with a slow kitchen, a crowded dance floor, and a clumsy waiter who spills food on Benny's suit. The episode is a Jack Benny Program broadcast from October 21, 1951, aired on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
