What happens

Jack Benny hosts his radio show with Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and Don Wilson, opening with spring-themed banter. Benny teases Don about his age and his long underwear, and Phil jokes about Benny's pajamas. Benny praises Dennis and reminds Phil of his early loyalty. Dennis sings a new song from a forthcoming Paramount picture, Buck Benny Rides Again. The cast then recalls their old Western sketches, and Benny, Don and Dennis perform a new Buck Benny episode in which Sheriff Buck Benny looks for the outlaw Cactus Face Elmer. Series: Jack Benny. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
