What happens
Jack Benny prepares to leave Beverly Hills for New York, where his new picture is premiering, and his household staff and friends are caught up in the rush. Rochester struggles with the packing and the trunk, while Mary Livingstone keeps Jack on schedule as he dithers over shirts, a coonskin cap and a newspaper from his past. The episode is a comedy of errands and delays as the group drives to Union Station, stopping along the way for a drugstore purchase and a taxi fare that climbs fast. This is the Jell-O program, broadcast in April 1940 on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny with Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
