What happens

Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day, Phil Harris and Rochester travel west on the Super Chief toward Los Angeles after two weeks in New York. On the train, the group plays cards, and Mary wins most of the hands, which irritates Jack. Jack goes looking for sandwiches with Rochester, and the cast spends the trip in the compartments and the club car. The Jack Benny Program aired on NBC and CBS Radio on February 19, 1950, and this excerpt covers the early part of the journey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
