What happens
Jack Benny is staying at the Acme Plaza Hotel in New York during the second week of his show's broadcast from there. Phil Harris calls to ask permission for a detour to Niagara Falls on his way back to California, and Mary Livingstone visits Jack in his hotel room. Jack plans a violin number and a revival of the Allen's Alley sketch, with Jack playing Fred Allen and Mary playing Portland Hoffa. Rochester arranges an audition for a singing group, the Ink Spots, who perform a song for Jack. The episode is part of the Jack Benny series, broadcast on NBC and CBS Radio in 1950, and its cast includes Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
