What happens
Jack Benny prepares to travel to New York City to attend a testimonial dinner for Bob Hope given by the Friars Club. With help from his valet Rochester, he packs warm clothing and books, and borrows an elaborate suitcase from Bob Crosby. Mary Livingston, Benny's co-star, drives him to the station, where he worries over his tight travel schedule. Along the way he meets a series of acquaintances at the station, including Don Wilson and a Mr. Kitsel, while a stream of phone calls and confused announcements keeps adding to the bustle. The Jack Benny program is a radio comedy series, and this episode first aired on March 1, 1953 on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
