What happens
Jack Benny prepares to leave Beverly Hills by train for New York, where he will open the National Heart Fund campaign. Rochester handles the packing and the household chores while Jack deals with telephone calls from columnists, his pet parrot Polly, and a visit from Don Wilson, who brings a commercial jingle about New York. Phil Harris asks to bring his drummer Sammy, who is travelling to marry a woman he met through a lonely hearts club. Mary Livingstone reads a letter from her parents, and the group gathers at the station for the trip east. The story is light comedy built on Jack's routines with his cast.
Jack Benny's house in Beverly Hills, then a cab ride and the Union Station, followed by a train journey to New York

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
