What happens

Jack Benny gets a shave and a haircut at a barbershop, then arrives late to the studio where Johnny Green and his orchestra are rehearsing. In the studio, he meets Kenny Baker, a new tenor singer, who performs a song from a film and is given fan mail to read on air. Benny then presents a comic sketch about a studio executive who keeps changing the location of a picture, sending orders for elephants and camels across the world. The Jell-O program is broadcast on NBC and CBS Radio on November 3, 1935, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

A radio studio and a barbershop, followed by a film studio office.

Characters: Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Johnny Green, Kenny Baker, Don Wilson, Eugene O'Wilson, Miss Glut, Mr. Paracite

Listen for: Benny's exchange with Kenny Baker about their similar names, and the studio sketch about changing the location of a picture.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
