What happens
Jack Benny celebrates ten years on the air in this Jell-O program from 1941, and the show mixes sponsor patter with light comic bits. Benny discusses his role in Charlie's Aunt, joking about playing a woman and wearing a corset, while Mary Livingstone and Don Wilson trade jabs with him. Dennis Day, Phil Harris and Rochester drop in with their own complaints, including Rochester's breakdown and a late pickup. The second half turns to a dramatized musical tribute tracing Benny's early life, from his Waukegan childhood and violin lessons through vaudeville, his marriage to Mary, and his first radio appearance.
A 1941 Jell-O radio broadcast from Hollywood, with a special NBC tribute segment marking Jack Benny's tenth anniversary on the air.

Listen for: Benny's ribbing with his cast about his Charlie's Aunt costume, and the musical tribute that traces his early life and career.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
