What happens
Jack Benny returns to the airwaves after a sharp feud with Phil Harris, who arrives late to the broadcast, and the program presents a two-part comedy hour. Benny appears with a black eye, explaining a gas station argument, and he and Mary Livingstone trade jokes about Harris and Kenny Baker. Benny chides Baker for his lateness, and the tension escalates into a playful fight between Benny and Harris. The episode from the Jell-O program, broadcast on December 6, 1936 on NBC, features Benny, Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris. The show then shifts into a spoof drama aboard a yacht in the Mediterranean, where a millionaire's daughter is courted by two supposed princes. The transcript ends before the story resolves.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
