What happens

Jack Benny hosts his Jell-O program alongside Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Don Wilson, opening with banter about Phil Harris arriving late. Jack and Mary trade jokes about Thanksgiving dinner and Phil's popularity with actresses. Jack and Don plot a prank, pretending to be Mae West to lure Phil to a street corner. The show then turns to a special request from a listener to finish the Western serial Buck Benny Rides Again. Jack, Kenny Baker and the cast perform the drama, in which Sheriff Buck Benny pursues a cattle thief called Cactus Face Elmer. The episode originally aired on November 29, 1936, on NBC and CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
