What happens
Jack Benny plays himself at home in Beverly Hills, practicing his violin after dinner while his butler Rochester tends to the household. A phone call from Mary Livingstone and a visit from Don Wilson lead to a rehearsal that Jack joins with a violin part. Later, Jack relaxes in the library with a mystery novel titled I Was Framed, which he reads while Rochester deals with a scorched nightgown. The episode is from the Jack Benny program, broadcast on May 30, 1948, on NBC and CBS Radio, and it stars Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
