What happens

Jack Benny hosts a St. Patrick's Day broadcast of his radio show, which is sponsored by Jell-O and is one of the episodes from the Jack Benny series, first aired on March 15, 1942, on NBC and CBS Radio. Jack's cast, including Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Don Wilson, quarrels after a rival sponsor's offer tempts them to leave. Dennis Day sings, and Rochester asks Jack for a loan to pay his taxes. Jack then presents a comic sketch about Fred Allen's early life.

A radio studio during a Jell-O broadcast, with a comic skit set in Illinois, Missouri and New York City.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
