What happens

Jack Benny presents a parody of the Stanley Kramer film High Noon, with Gary Kane as town marshal. On his wedding day, Gary learns that Frank Miller, a man he jailed five years earlier, has been released and will arrive in town at high noon, intent on revenge. Gary searches the streets for deputies to help him face the threat, while his new bride Amy urges him to leave. Stanley Kramer appears as a guest on the program. The broadcast aired on February 1, 1953, on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
