What happens
Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone and Dennis Day set out for the racetrack, but first a phone company crew arrives at Jack's Beverly Hills home to install a telephone in Rochester's name, which Jack questions. Rochester explains his reasons, and Jack is sent to the vault for money. Later the group visits the racetrack, where Jack takes advice on horses and meets a network executive. The Jack Benny Program aired on NBC and CBS Radio on January 25, 1953, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris as the leads.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
