What happens

Jack Benny hosts a Halloween episode of his radio comedy series, which aired on November 2, 1947 on NBC and CBS Radio. Starring Jack Benny with Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Eddie Anderson and Dennis Day, the show opens with banter about Halloween parties. Jack describes meeting a mysterious woman in a little Bo Peep costume, and Dennis Day shows up with a tall tale about playing a prank on his father. The program then presents a parody of the Warner Brothers film Dark Passage, in which a prisoner named Curly and a convict named Slugger Wilson talk in their cell, and a prisoner escapes and seeks a plastic surgeon.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
