What happens

Jack Benny hosts an episode of his comedy program from 1934, and the second part of his grocery store sketch begins. Jack's cast, including Mary Livingstone, Don Wilson and Phil Harris, trades jokes between musical numbers and skits. The show introduces violinist Signor Fett, a self-described trick violinist whose tricks go awry, and Frank Parker sings One Night of Love as the guest star. Later, editor Curtis Mitchell presents Jack with the Radio Stars Award for distinguished service to radio. The episode first aired on October 21, 1934, on NBC and CBS Radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
