What happens
Jack Benny takes his golf game seriously and drives with Rochester to the Hillcrest Country Club, stopping to offer a ride to a young woman on the way. Dennis Day, who is mistaken about his caddying role, rides along too, and Benny meets Mary Livingstone for lunch at the club. Benny prepares to play a match with Phil Harris, who agrees to a wager, and the two set out on the course. The Jack Benny Program, a comedy series, was first broadcast on October 19, 1947 on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
