What happens
Jack Benny and his cast visit the new home of Don Wilson, who has just married, after a Sunday evening broadcast. Benny has sent Don an unusual wedding gift of wax fruit, and the group argues over gifts, a bet about travel to New York, and Phil Harris's gags at the Wilshire Bowl. Don insists that the group drop in on his bride without warning, despite Jack's advice to call ahead. The episode is from the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on November 24, 1940, on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
