What happens

Jack Benny lies sick in bed with a bad cold after a rainy evening that began with an unannounced visit to Don Wilson's house. His friends Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and his servant Rochester keep him company, fussing over him with odd home remedies and trading jokes. Benny grumbles about his condition and about Wilson's thoughtlessness, while the household bickers over missing cigars and an odd neighbor named Mr. Billingsley. The doctor arrives late, and the episode is part of the Jack Benny series, aired December 1, 1940, with Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the lead.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
