What happens
Jack Benny broadcasts a Lucky Strike program from Fitzsimons Hospital in Denver, Colorado, for military personnel. Don Wilson, a Denver native, is proud to be back in his hometown, and the cast trades jokes about his childhood. Jack reveals that a visiting sculptor from St. Joseph, Missouri, has arrived to make a statue of him, and the sculptor begins work while the broadcast continues. Larry Stevens sings a song, Phil Harris leads his orchestra, and the show is interrupted by a series of comic exchanges. The 1945 episode is part of the long-running Jack Benny radio series, with Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the regular cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
