What happens

Jack Benny opens his program from Cleveland with banter about the city and a newspaper review of his stage show. Mary Livingstone and Kenny Baker join the cast, and a mock performance of Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness is staged on the air. The sketch follows the Miller family's teenage son Richard, whose father and uncle grow alarmed after finding a foolish love letter he wrote to a local girl named Annabelle Simpson. The father sets out to give his son advice on love and the facts of life. This is the 1936 Jack Benny show, broadcast on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

A radio studio in Cleveland, followed by a mock stage-style scene set in a small New England town.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
