What happens
Jack Benny hosts a Jell-O program in which he and Phil Harris bicker about a parade Jack led down Hollywood Boulevard, with Mary Livingstone and Dennis Day joining the banter. The cast then stages a football mystery on the air, Murder on the Gridiron, in which Flash Benny coaches Flatfoot College. Dynamite Dugan, a player, receives a threatening note warning that he will be bumped off if he plays in the second half, and he takes the field anyway. The program is part of the Jack Benny series, and this installment originally aired on December 3, 1939, on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris leading the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
