What happens

Jack Benny returns home to Beverly Hills after a three-month trip to Hawaii, and his household staff are caught off guard by his sudden arrival. Rochester, his valet, has been hosting unexpected visitors and finds himself scrambling to explain the empty ginger ale and the messy house. Friends including Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and Don Wilson drop by, and Jack tries to hold a meeting about the new season. Publicity man Steve Bradley arrives with pictures and stunt ideas, and the talk turns to the Benny program's first television show. The episode is a comedy of errors and quarrels as the cast gathers at the house before the new season begins.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
