What happens

Jack Benny discovers that Ed, a man who has been guarding his vault for years, has never been allowed upstairs. Jack takes Ed up to his home in Beverly Hills, where the sights and sounds overwhelm him. Rochester, Jack's butler, is left in charge while Jack and his friend Don Wilson arrange a surprise for Ed. Ed later wanders off on his own, and a search begins that takes Jack and Don to a police station. The episode is part of the Jack Benny series, first broadcast on April 3, 1955, on NBC and CBS Radio, starring Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
