What happens
Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone are driving back from San Francisco to Hollywood after their last broadcast, with Rochester at the wheel. The trip drags on, a bicycle passes their car, and they get a flat tire and stop at a roadside lunchroom for sandwiches. Later the pair arrive at the studio, where Benny is asked about rumours that he will retire from radio. The Jell-O program of January 16, 1938 on NBC and CBS Radio stars Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris, with Kenny Baker singing and the orchestra playing.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
