What happens

Jack Benny and his household staff navigate a busy day at the studio and at home. Rochester tries to listen to the broadcast by telephone after a faulty radio, while Phil Harris and Mary Livingstone argue over a planned song. Dennis Day sings a solo. The episode then moves into a farm-life sketch in which Jack and Mary, playing newlyweds Danny and Sylvia Klingenpiel, move into a new farmhouse with a real estate agent and meet a cast of rural neighbors, including Zeke, who runs a still, and the lazy Paul. The Jack Benny program, sponsored by Lucky Strike, first aired on NBC and CBS Radio on May 18, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
