What happens
Jack Benny hosts a Thanksgiving dinner at his home, but his guests Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Eddie Anderson and Kenny Baker tease him about his cooking, including a turkey he claims he cooked with a blowtorch. Jack, who insists he is a fine cook, grows touchy about the criticism. Later he tries to sell his Maxwell touring car through a newspaper ad, and Kenny shows interest. A brother-in-law of Eddie's arrives to look at the car, and the group takes a ride together, which goes badly. The episode is a broadcast of The Jell-O Program, a Sunday night series, first aired on November 28, 1937 on NBC and CBS Radio.

Listen for: Jack's complaints about his cooking and the blowtorch turkey, and the car sale that goes wrong during the drive
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
