What happens

Jack Benny and his radio cast visit him on the Warner Brothers studio set while he works on a new picture with Anne Sheridan. Jack rehearses a tender proposal scene with Mary Livingstone, who lounges in a borrowed dressing room, and the group tours the lot, where Jack introduces his friends to Sheridan and the director, Mr. Kelly. Rehearsals of the scene keep getting interrupted, with Jack fumbling his lines and the cast joking around the set. This 1942 episode of The Jack Benny Program is presented on NBC and CBS Radio, with Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris in the lead roles.

The Warner Brothers studio lot and a soundstage in Hollywood, where Jack Benny is filming a new picture with Anne Sheridan.

Listen for: Jack's clumsy attempts at rehearsing his proposal scene and the running jokes about the borrowed dressing room and the phone calls from Errol Flynn's girlfriend.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
