What happens
Jack Benny is confined to his house with a cold, so Phil Harris and Kenny Baker take over the Jell-O program for the evening alongside Mary Livingstone and Don Wilson. Jack remains at home with his polar bear Carmichael, his valet Rochester, and a nurse who is soon revealed to be an old acquaintance of Mary's. Jack frets about the show running without him while Mary tries to keep him in bed. Over the radio, Phil and Kenny present songs and a Western melodrama, and Jack and Mary react to the broadcast from upstairs. The program is a comedy built on the household's running jokes and the rivalry between the characters.
Jack Benny's house, with the Jell-O program broadcast on the radio

Listen for: Jack and Mary listening to Phil and Kenny's broadcast, and the nurse's conversation with Mary about old friends
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
