What happens

Jack Benny hosts his Jell-O program, trading jokes with Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris and Don Wilson about his violin playing and a rival comedian's remarks. Golfer Oscar Fortunato then describes being struck in the face by a divot dug up by Harry Cooper's club. The show continues with the serial Buck Benny Rides Again, in which Buck, a sheriff, pursues escaped outlaws. Buck and Andy Devine travel to Ensenada, Mexico, where they meet actor Buck Jones and search a bar for the outlaw Cactus Face. The transcript ends before the story is resolved.

A radio variety program from NBC studios in Hollywood, followed by a comic Western serial set in a frontier town and then in Ensenada, Mexico.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
