What happens
Jack Benny is driven to the studio by his valet Rochester, worried that his show will suffer after a guest star, Herbert Marshall, filled in for him the previous week. Benny is jealous of the praise Marshall received from the cast and from the press. Once at the studio, Benny's cast teases him about his rival, and the mood of the program grows increasingly tense. The Jell-O program of February 9, 1941, starred Jack Benny alongside Mary Livingstone, Eddie Anderson and Phil Harris.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
