What happens

Jack Benny, speaking from Palm Springs, California, chats with Don Wilson, Mary Livingstone, Dennis Day and Phil Harris about the resort's hotels and the rooms they are staying in. Jack says he lodges at the TP Motel, a modest place out of town, and he jokes about its Indian bellboys and the long drive to reach it. The group teases one another about horseback riding, sunbathing and their vacation habits, while Dennis sings and a telegram arrives for Jack about a Hopalong Cassidy picture. Phil offers to help Jack find a room at a better hotel, and the group keeps joking around until the program ends. This is the Jell-O program from February 1941 on NBC and CBS radio.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
